Collection: Metal Polishing Compounds & Compound Bars

Polishing compounds are what actually cut and finish the metal — the wheel just carries them. Get the wrong compound and you'll either take forever to cut through oxidation, or you'll swirl-mark a finish you just spent an hour on.

Cutting vs finishing: Cutting compounds (like the 439T) are for heavy oxidation, scratches, and pitting — they remove material fast. Finishing compounds (like the 480BLF/P175) come in after, to bring up the mirror shine without leaving haze.

Aluminium vs stainless: Aluminium is softer and cuts faster, so it's easy to overheat or swirl if you're too aggressive — match your compound and wheel speed accordingly. Stainless needs a bit more cut to shift, but holds a finish better once you're there.

Pair your compound with the right wheel — heavy cut compounds want a heavy cut airway wheel, finishing compounds want a flannel wheel — and you'll get a cleaner result in fewer passes.

We stock a selected range of Menzerna compound bars and ship Australia-wide and to New Zealand.
