We offer two polishing kits, built for two different jobs. The Polishing Starter Kit is our complete starter option — 10″ wheels, compounds, a safety flange and a wheel rake, already matched to each other in one box. If you're new to machine polishing, that's the hard part done: no working out which wheel goes with which compound, or what size flange you need to run it safely.
The 6″ Tight-Area Polishing Kit is an add-on for customers who already have a polishing setup and their own compounds. It adds four smaller wheels and the flange to mount them, for tighter-access work around truck components.
Both kits use the same professional-grade airway buffing wheels and safety flanges we sell separately and use ourselves on the job.
What's in the Polishing Starter Kit
- Three 10″ airway wheels: heavy cut, untreated cotton and flannel finishing
- Menzerna 439T cutting bar and 480BLF finishing bar
- 3″ safety flange set
- Buffing wheel rake
That covers the three stages of cut, colour and finish on aluminium bullbars, fuel tanks, wheels and toolboxes. It works on stainless steel too.
What's in the 6″ Tight-Area Polishing Kit
- Four 6″ airway wheels: heavy cut, medium cut, untreated cotton and flannel finishing
- Small safety flange set (2″ centres)
Compounds, arbour extension and wheel rake are not included and are sold separately — run it with the Menzerna compound bars you already use, or add them from our range.
What else you'll need
Neither kit includes a polisher. The Starter Kit's 10″ wheels run on a variable-speed polisher with an M14 spindle. We use the Makita 9237CB, and there are several others on the market that will do the job. A variable-speed angle grinder is only suitable for 6″ wheels. If the metal is pitted or deeply scratched, level it first with gear from the sanding and surface prep range. To keep the shine between polishes, add a liquid metal polish.

Which kit should I start with? If you're new to polishing, the Polishing Starter Kit — it includes the compounds and rake you need. The 6″ Tight-Area Polishing Kit is an add-on and does not include compounds.
Is the Starter Kit suitable for beginners? Yes. It's built as a first setup, and our wheel and compound guide walks through each stage.
Will they polish stainless steel as well as aluminium? Yes. The same wheels and compounds work on both. Stainless takes longer at the cutting stage.
Do the kits include sanding gear? No. Sanding discs, interface pads and backing plates are sold separately.
