If you need a highly aggressive cutting compound for aluminium or stainless steel, this Menzerna rouge bar is an excellent choice. It delivers fast material removal and is ideal for the first stage of your polishing sequence.

When working with aluminium, Menzerna offers a clear progression of compounds depending on the level of correction required:

• 439T Green Bar – Heavy/primary cut for deep oxidation, scratches, and heavy defects.

• P14F White Bar – Medium/secondary cut, perfect for moderately oxidised or reasonably clean alloy.

• 480 BLF Blue Bar – Final finishing bar for clarity, depth, and shine.

• P175 White Bar – Ultra-fine “super finish” bar for perfection-level polishers seeking a flawless mirror finish.

For the majority of polishers, a simple two-step process is more than enough:
Start with 439T (Green) for the primary cut, then finish with 480 BLF (Blue) for a bright, reflective finish.

If the alloy is only lightly oxidised or already in decent condition, you can begin with the P14F White Bar. It performs well as a standalone medium cut, or you can follow it with the 480 BLF Blue for extra gloss.
The P175 Super Finish Bar is reserved for those chasing the absolute highest clarity after the 480 BLF.
