10″ Flannel Airway Buffing Wheel – Metal Polishing

The final stage of the polish — soft white flannel that glides across contours and curves with minimal pressure, bringing up the mirror shine after cutting and refining are done. 16-ply construction keeps it stable while staying soft enough for tanks, bullbars, steps, wheels, and trim work.

How To Use: Mount with a matched 3″ safety flange. Apply 480BLF or P175 sparingly to the wheel face — a little goes further on finishing compounds. Work in light, even passes; the surface should already be smooth from the earlier stages, so this step is about bringing up clarity and depth of shine, not removing material. Do not exceed 2,000 RPM on this wheel.

Softness is the point. This is the softest wheel in the range, so it cannot cut — it only finishes. That is also why 480BLF behaves differently here than on a natural untreated wheel: on untreated cotton it still colours and lifts haze, while on flannel it delivers final gloss. P175 goes one step further again for the highest-clarity finish.

One compound per wheel. The wheel type takes either compound, but each individual wheel should only ever meet one. A finishing wheel carrying traces of a cutting compound will put marks straight back into the surface you just perfected.
