10″ Untreated Cotton Airway Buffing Wheel – Metal Polishing
The most versatile wheel in the range — softer than the treated red and yellow wheels, with a clean, responsive cut that changes character completely depending on which compound you pair it with. Suits larger surfaces: fuel tanks, bumpers, bullbars, steps, and wide panels. 16 layers of untreated cotton give excellent flexibility and airflow.

How To Use: Mount with a matched 3″ safety flange. Work in overlapping passes and let the softer cotton conform to curves and contours rather than forcing flat contact. Approximate starting speed is 3,500 RPM with 439T or P14F, and around 2,200 RPM with 480BLF.
Three ways to run this wheel. With 439T you get the mildest version of a hard-cutting compound — useful where a red or yellow wheel would be too aggressive. With P14F it refines. With 480BLF it colours, lifting light compound haze and building clarity and gloss.
One compound per wheel. The wheel type takes any of the three, but each individual wheel should only ever meet one of them. Running three compounds through one untreated wheel will contaminate every stage.
