6″ Untreated Cotton Airway Buffing Wheel – Metal Polishing
The most versatile wheel in the range, sized for tighter spaces — fuel tank tops and ends, steps, toolboxes, alloy rims, and intricate components where a 10″ wheel cannot reach. Softer than the treated red and yellow wheels, and its character changes completely depending on which compound you pair it with.

How To Use: Mount with a matched 2″ safety flange. Control matters more than speed in tight areas — let the softer cotton conform to the shape rather than forcing it. Approximate starting speed is 3,500 RPM with 439T or P14F, and around 2,200 RPM with 480BLF.
Three ways to run this wheel. With 439T you get the mildest version of a hard-cutting compound — useful where a red or yellow wheel would be too aggressive. With P14F it refines. With 480BLF it colours, lifting light compound haze and building clarity and gloss.
One compound per wheel. The wheel type takes any of the three, but each individual wheel should only ever meet one of them. Running three compounds through one untreated wheel will contaminate every stage.
